Neoprene Dash Pads!!!

Are you tired of your sunglasses sliding around your dash or lower center console tray? Check these out on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dash-...QQcmdZViewItem

I can set my sunglasses up in front of my guage cluster and they don't move. This is the same guy that was asking if anyone was interested in these a few weeks ago. I bought a pair from him and they are very nice and extremly well made. The cut is perfect and every piece fits just as it should. The complete set has ten pieces! With no more rattle coming from my multiple gloveboxes, I highly recommend them.

Go to Wallmart, pick up some of the stuff in the kitchen department for a couple of bucks and cut it yourself. It would save some money. Just my two cents....

Definitely easier and more perfect to just drop em on in... but yea, these could be made cheaply... that is, if you can live with some imperfections.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i rather pay a few dollars extra just to slip it right in..

if you do it yourself theres the time to measure it, draw it, cut it and if you measured it wrong then theres the trouble of trimming it or doing it again.

Why not pay a few dollars extra......

some people think that way.

some people would rather DIY, even if it takes them a week to get it right, and materials add up to costing more

Some of us are more then capable of making something as simple as this with perfect results.

Some of us rather put our own touch on something, rather then buy it already made. Its not a money thing for me, it more of a "make it my own style," type of thing.

If you take into account that the kit covers every storage space, I think that is a decent deal. If there were only 2 or 3 storage areas I would do it myself.

I spent a $1 at the dollar store for a roll of the same stuff, and did the same thing with my car...
And had enough left over for a couple drawers in my tool chest

I just got mine as well. It's pretty good for what it is. The material is the same as the rubber on your average mouse-pad. The pieces were cut very precisely. If I had tried to make these myself, I probably would have spent more than what I paid for these.

I didn't use the piece that goes in front of the instrument panel since I have a dashboard cover.

I went to Five Below, got a blue yoga mat almost identical in color to my liftback, measured and cut the specific pieces I'd need for all those compartments and spaces and I spent a little over $5. Nothing moves around at all and everything matches well.

All that took less than an hour.

Less than an hour including the drive? You need to post some pics ASAP. We all could use a good laugh.

Obviously you're here to laugh at people's personal modifications that fit their budget rather than appreciate their work. Apparently you're the small percentage of people on YW that have to criticize others. Not everybody would be eager to spend over $20 on something that everyone, especially GUYS.. should be able to do themselves. I'm a girl and I managed to make it work and had the ability to do it in a decent amount of time. The majority of people on this thread even said it's pointless to buy it and to just pick up something and DIY. Don't be so harsh, this isn't a place for that. Thanks.

Actually only three people would rather DIY, watch for multiple posts by the same person. ALL the rest have them and love them, or want them.

The fact that you’re a girl isn’t an issue so don’t play that card; of course anybody could make these and the choices for material are endless. Did you want me to say, "WOW, great, nice job, and by a female Yaris owner, we're so proud..." Without discriminating against age, race, or sex, I still think (notice how I said think, this means it is an opinion) dash pads made from a blue yoga mat will look horrendous, hence, post some pics.

Just to be clear, to DIY is great, but, I don't believe anyone can make them as well as these. Sorry if I was to harsh Dory. Heres some points by the manufacturer;

1) All pads are precision cut with steel rule dies which are expensive.

2) You cannot hand cut the console tray and cupholder pads perfectly using scissors or xacto knives.

3) For the DIYers, I have offered on other sites to cut their material for free. Just pay for shipping.

4) My prices are cheap compared to accessories you buy from the dealer. Any OEM accessory is marked up 500% or more.

$25 is a steal, best functional mod I've made to my Yaris.
