Some easy/simple performance mod ideas.

Hey everyone,

Have a 2012 Hatchback. I'm new to performance modding but wanted to start myself off with something relatively simple and quick but effective for performance.

Ideas appreciated :)

Thanks!

2.) Short-shift kit: Makes shifting a lot more enjoyable, and fixes the stock mushy emotionless shift throw. Same deal as #1, look on microimage or scoop up one from someone selling one here.

3.) Handling: Take your pick -- lowering springs, struts, a rear sway bar. A better suspension can make a slow car more fun because you can stay quick throughout the twists and turns. Ditto for getting stuff: MI or the FS section.

Just a quick few things that I've done that are relatively cheap and have yielded some more driving enjoyment (my #3 is lowering springs, BTW). I'm sure that some other folks on here will have some more ideas and help if you need it.

Enjoy the ride (and gas savings!).

+ Intake + Header + Axle-back Exhaust

Rear sway bar is a MUST do for handling improvement

I like the Whiteline better. The response is better and it's adjustable. But I will be getting more UR 23mm sway bars in pretty soon.

Thanks for your replies everyone. Going to go for an intake upgrade to start me off I think. Any tips or how to's for a noob installing it? And anything different I need to know about installing as I'm installing in an automatic.

Eren, Auto or standard are going to be the same installation wise. Just go slow and follow the directions. Also very important, disconnect the battery before you start and reconnect when your done. This will allow your ecu to better adjust to your new part. Have fun.
