LED headlights
Hi Yarisworlders.
My significant other just bought a 2017 Prius, and that sucker is nice. It has LED headlights, and I'm thinking I'd like to put those in my Yaris, if possible. Anyone here do that, is it possible, and how much do they generally cost for a 2010 Yaris? Thanks. |

Its not as simple as you think it is. Youll need to retro fit a specifically designed projector for LED.
Simply dropping an LED bulb in a Halogen housing will actually give you less actual light output on the road I have HID projectors retrofitted into my headlights and the light output is outstanding. Im running Morimoto Mini projectors. Visit Www.theretrofitsource.com or www.lightwerkz.net

Thank you for your help, malibuguy. If it's any more complex than changing a light bulb, I'm bound to muck it up. If I had a video tutorial, maybe I could swing it. Just curious, how much did you spend to retro fit the projectors plus fit them with LED bulbs? Is it a difficult job to do, particularly for someone like myself who doesn't know diddly about this sort of thing? It was a major accomplishment for me to change a headlight in my 2010 Yaris (YouTube was a big help). Thanks, again.

I have just LED bulbs in my reflector headlights. So far they work like a charm, but I haven't had the chance to get on the highway yet.
So far, they are much brighter than my previous HID kit, which doesn't glare by the way. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk |

I bought drop in LED bulbs. $200 cad. Easy install, way more light. My main goal was to not be replacing bulbs every 3 months. I got them from tiger automotive. I will find the details and post an update.
