sprucing up the interior

so I'm wanting to spruce up my interior a bit

I'm thinking this stuff in all black, the seat covers in vinyl

http://www.gtcovers.com/seat-covers/...at-covers.html
http://www.autobarn.net/wheelgenleat.html

black vinyl the door panels and replace the arm rest with the storage box

So, what are your thoughts? You guys think vinyl is tacky and since I can't afford leather go cloth? Should I avoid all black and maybe go charcoal or grey? Just looking for some input and opinions. Thanks

I say go for what ever you want. You can get away with vinal in black for sure. Why not save and get leather when you got the scaratch! The storage box is a given, since the arm rest is kinda lost in the car,IMO.

Be prepared to wait a month or so for the GT seat covers...hope your passenger cover is not messed up like mine was (they put the flip up seat control opening on the wrong side).

They returned it for a new one however and all is well. Good product from them.

There are some very good vinyls out there....I've seen some Marine vinyls that have very good 'feel' and look great, while being able to take quite a bit of abuse. The Yaris is a practical vehicle....makes sense to keep it practical.

I think those seat covers look pretty damn nice! Like Churp said, vinyl is not what it used to be, it can be hard to tell apart from leather now.

Vinyl does get hot in summertime, but leather gets hot too. I wonder if grey would heat up less than black.

I like to see you rock the steering wheel cover, the Yaris needs it pretty bad. The current textured wheel is nice but cheap looking.

yeah, the steering wheel screams cheap, I totally hate the feel of it, I will definately be getting the cover and the toyota pedal set and shifter knob, that will be a nice start along with the storage box

then it is just a matter of deciding on what fabric to go with for the seats, vinyl will be hot but it is very durable and easy to clean

yeah, etimago and some others, if it wasn't for the air bag, I'd go that route
