Cluster info

I have a USDM sedan without a tach. Been thinking, but what clusters from the different cars, plug in and go? Will one with a tach go right in? is there any digital ones that are in mph? i hate the base one!

A Sedan without a Tach... Are you serious?

It makes me feel a little better... Owning a Liftback and all!

Same here... A sedan's cluster with a tach should work fine... Other car? Not possible AFAIK. Foreign Yaris clusters will work (Canadian, Uk, Australian, etc), but you will have problems with the speed and the odometer (a) not counting miles, and b) If I remember correctly the odometer kept the data in the cluster's circuit... Somebody already tried installing a sedan cluster in a HB)

Since most folks rarely use the tach once they get used to what engine sound level corresponds to what RPM you might want to get something more than just a tach that will give you long term usability.

Check out the ScanGuage II.

I want the tach b/c its my gf's car and she wants to see what rpm she's running at. plus the 1 gauge is very bland. scanguage 2 looks cool, maybe in the future.

btw, the car is auto, so no need to 'hear' it. it just looks a ton better then not one.
