Is it difficult to remove (get rid of) the rear yaris logo?
I am considering removing the yaris logo from the rear hatch door.. I suspect it is attached using some crazy glue or anything.
Is it feasible to have it removed without damage to the door? |

Haha, 334 posts and a member for over a year and you're asking such a noob question? You been drinkin'?
![]() That like above pretty much is all there is to it. Fishing line or dental floss works good... and kite string saws through it rather well also!

In case fishing line or dental floss do not work, I always can use my DeWalt angle grinder.

But don't stop there - take it all off - the rear of the hatch looks glorious with no Toyota ads, logos, dealers, etc. Then, if you like, you can add your own, personal logo:

![]() Yeah, it makes a huge difference in my opinion, makes the back look wider. I will probably remove the lock/latch when I don't need to access the back as often.. The body shop wanted to cut the hatch and continue the seam straight across as if the emblem was never there...that was a little more than I needed so I declined. It may get done if/when the latch comes off, it just seems like a little too much work for such a minor gain...

<<Why'd you stop?>>
I like the clear look of logoless, but I wanted to make the car my own.

^ thanks man
I found some polyethter threads from the craft store at my place and they did the job. I also discovered some strange residue once removed the badge and double sided resin - had to use the rubbing compound to remove it. Installed the TRD logo instead- looks so much better now. Thanks again to everybody. |

Fishing line instead of dental floss, etc next time. A length of 20lb test works nicely...just wear some gloves, the little cuts you might get from the line are annoying.

Use a debit/credit card instead. It is way easier. Just work it into one side under the emblem and keep at it. By far the easiest method, I have tried them all on all my prior cars. Just make sure its not a card you are going to need bc it will scratch and possibly crack.
