By the way, I can't win, if my guess is the closest, next best guess wins.
No one is going to say this thing might blow 15 extra horsepower? Woosies!!

wouldn't there need to be a greater balance of intake to exhaust to be able to even possibly gain that much more, i.e. a large diameter mid-pipe to ensure higher out flow with the increased inflow.

^ Of course, but we're just having fun guessing right? If you saw my guess, you'd know I was kidding.

That may be the safest guess of all...
![]() Since torque numbers are also being included, and I guessed +2hp at peak, I think the torque will be -3 since the runners are shorter and larger in diameter. The manifold might have greater usefulness with forced induction rather than in a normally aspirated application. It can easily handle being pressurized. I saw the throttle body adaptor. They're machining a smooth transition between the smaller bore diameter of the throttle body and the larger diameter of the manifold inlet. |

I think I'll go with +4hp and slightly reduced torque. I'd love for Golddeenoh's (or even mazilla's) guesses to be correct instead!

I'll go with +4whp and -3% torque...
What can I say? I'm an optimist. Plus I'm shooting for a somewhat similar setup myself.

tk, I meant a whp and a torque number, both peak. That is the format for guessing.

I am soooo chompin' at the bit over this one.
I just want to see it on the car and on the dyno (along with numbers). the mock up you have with the intake and the flange looks good. |

I've been test fitting the prototype flange to the engine...
![]() There are a couple of areas that need to be filed to fit because we went 3mm larger on the perimeter to accomodate the larger runners. There's one more spot to file near the middle of the fuel rail, so I should have it on today, and when the fitting is done I'll be sure to post some more pics. Wait till you see it with the runners on... it's gnarly.

Nope.
![]() There are a lot of really nice options for finishing the manifold, and I'll be choosing one of them. In my opinion, wrapping looks crappy, so obviously I'm more concerned with looks than performance.
