Help with Paint.

Okay, so earlier today I accidentally went a bit too fast and hit the wall with the rear of my car. When I checked it, there was only a minor in-depth scratch and besides that..... My paint was falling off!!!

Parts of it on top of my rear bumper started falling off like little strips. I took one of the strips and it felt thin, I don't know why it turned out like this. But after attaching pics, can I get advice on how to fix it, what to buy, and how much it'll cost.

Help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Underneath, there is this white solid color. Not really clean white, but close to it. I'm thinking its primer, but not sure. This is really bugging me because ever since what happened, I'm constantly thinking about it and I want my baby fixed lol.

it is unfortunately something that happens with the poor Yaris paint. Of course, hitting the wall won't help either.

Do you know a way to fix it? Lol

Btw, I HIT the wall, and this is the after-effect. For some reason, after hitting the wall, thats the after-result.

I don't know why my paint is crumbling and falling now into little strips. This is DUE to hitting the wall.

Two words; Body Shop.

When you hit the wall, the bumper cover compressed, bent, twisted and such as it absorbed the impact. This resulted in all the stress cracks and compromised the adhesion of the paint to the bumper.

There is no way to fix this yourself to any degree of satisfaction.

This guy is right on every detail. You have to take it to a professional to redo your bumper with new paint. There is no way around it unfortunately.

what was said. This is not the result of a normal hit to a wall. This is the result of the crap paint of the Yaris on a wall. Two totally different things.

I've been in accidents. Far too many, never have i had paint look like that. I have seen paint like that from other Yaris owners though.

I think I might end up spraying plastidip on top of this. The only affected area is the top of my bumper. I don't have much atm and this is the only cheap solution I can think of atm.

Plastidip shouldn't be too bad right?
