Sway bar removal

I don't know if this is a stupid question, but could I technically not run my sway bar and run stiff coilovers up front?

Yes, but you'd need some pretty crazy spring rates(1000lb/in) to compensate for the lack of dynamic roll stiffness.

Im not running a sway bar and im lifted... my spring rates are 1000000 zillion I believe. It still conets with little body roll. My wheelbase is also 5.5 inches wider due to wheels.a few guys run autocross without one to keep both wheels planted to keep power down. Al you need is a 17mm socket, a 6mm allen, and ten minutes of your time to take the links off and try it out

Just undo the end links if you want to disable your sway bar. No need to remove it.

Yeah thats what I wanted to do to runs a certain type of coilovers. I used to have a mk4 gti 2000-2005s vws. lol We all would cut our sway bars for more clearance for out axles to go lower.
