Tire or Rim issue?

i was running horrible Bridgestone tires 185/60/15 that came on my stock TRD rims (15x5.5)...after i did some performance modification i changed my tires to Hankook V2 195/50/15 which is pretty good..i have dropped about 1 inch due to shorter tire wall..i am not stil confident through curves on high speed 100km+ (maybe im pissed because i lost to BMW 5 series during corners)...what is the issue? i have front tower strut and rear sway with performance strut and shock all the way around droped 1.5 inch..

do i need a wider width rims..?
or better tires?

are you sure that your rims are 15x5? if yes then 195 is too wide for your rim. I use toyo r1r 195/50/15 with a 15x7 rim and they are ideal for my car. Also I am much faster in turns than with the stock 185/60/15

sorry dude, its 15 x 5.5...actually 195 is the widest fit (check the tire chart) for 5.5..185/60/15 is from the factory...

a 195 on a 5.5" rim is going to be pulling the sides of the tire up. You need to move up to a 7" wide rim to maximize the tire contact patch.
