Help with lowering

I'm trying to install my Tanabe DF springs, how do you remove the nut on top of the front struts??? I can get a socket on top but then I can't get the wrench on the socket to turn it. Help please if you can :)

Yeah, I just noticed the howto section. When I found the site thru google it took me right to a forum page and I didnt notice the YW front page with the easy link.

Sorry for the laziness. I'm BIG on forums so I know how annoying it can be when someone does what I just did. My bad...

Out of curiosity did you start at the front, or the rear? Which springs did you use?

I started with the front since I figured it would be the most tough.

Tanabe DF's.

That would be my approach. Get the crappy part done, and then move on to the easy stuff. I assume you spent most of your time on the front end? Where did you place your jack for the front end work? I assume you brought both tires off the ground at the same time?

BTW, Where are you located at in PA?

I put mine up on jack stands

Front was a little time consuming for me all that goddamn turning and spring compressing, won't be so bad putting in the coilovers.

The only thing I hate about unibody is the lack of a frame! I always worry about crunching body work even though I use the designated jacking points.

I always try and push the car off the stands before I start.

Of course with this car you kind of feel like you will dent or break something whaling on it as mentioned by others.

I assume that maneuver is an effort to cause a natural obstruction from drive buys whilst you are wrenching in "Big D"!

Yeah I'm wrong, I meant to say 17mm box wrench. It's being 6 months and 8000 miles later and they look even better once they settle
