At 212F, 0w-20 and 5w-20 provide the SAME protection, the same viscosity, so what is the big deal? I use 0w for the first start on cold mornings (40F or colder), as it will circulate faster, and better, and that translates into more protection during the first start of every cold morning, and it is at that instance when 90% of engine wear happens. |
