Yeah it's like they said, If you shift to R while moving forward, you will hear a loud crank noise, at this point you should freak out and let go of the shift knob, the box should spit the gear the neutral, then place it in the correct gear. The shift box is designed to spit you to neutral when a gear isn't properly engaged. It has happened to me when I don't pull the stick all the way then I rev and go no where. Re-clutch and engage the correct gear and you're off!
