5spd vs automatic
I know rpms at hightway speeds are lower on the automatic than the 5spd.
On the yaris specs the 5spd gives 40 mpg agains 39mpg on the auto. If the auto rpms are lower on the highways....wouldn't it be more frugal ? I've driven a yaris automatic a lot...and it is ok....engine noise is louder than my 5spd echo. What are the rpms on the yaris 5spd at let's say... 100km/h ? 120km/h? 140km/h ? I am going to buy a yaris soon....I do mostly highway driving, I don't mind spending th extra $$ for the auto box....I just need to decide... Thnx |
