I drive 40k miles per year and haven't had this happen. No accidents in 30 years. While road debris is an almost daily hazard.

And are you sure you are not rather drastically over-stating any difference that your mods might have made? I suspect you are.

Look, if you want to make a fashion statement, that's fine. Even if I might have aesthetic qualms with the defacements you choose to inflict upon your car. But It's pretty silly to try to make the "life or death" safety argument you seem to want to make.
