I was trying to trade-in my 2009 Yaris Sedan that I bought brand new and have only owned for thirteen months for a new 2010 Corolla S, and they would only allow me $10,000 for trade-in. (My car stickered for $16,514.)
They wouldn't budge from this number, and they explained that there is going to be a MAJOR push to clean out the inventories of 2010 Yarisses, and with those huge discounts coming up, they could not allow me what they otherwise would be able to allow me.
The guy said that they are going to soon be selling the 2010s for 2% UNDER invoice, and Toyota was going to kick in $750 to reduce the price even more. He said there is a styling change coming up on the 2011s, and they don't want too many 2010s left by that time.
Hope this information helps some folks.

Most dealers don't keep many Yaris's (or any) in stock anyways. I have several dealers in my area and rarely do I see a Yaris on the lot. So Toyota's "Major Push" can probably be done with one finger.
