Throttle Body Swap questions...
The TB swap will probably be my next project and I like to have as much info as possible before starting a new project.
Prices on e-bay don't look to bad and I know the part number of the throttle body I need. I've read the DIY on the swap and it looks pretty straight forward. Actually looks easier than most of the mods I've done over the years. I'll make my own TB spacer to accommodate the larger TB bore. Question #1 I've seen reference to doing a coolant by-pass on the throttle body. I've found the info on what to do (easy enough), but nothing on why I should do it. Why would I want to do this? Question #2 & 3 References to changing the Injectors. Again, I know what to do but is there any gain from this? Can I accomplish the same thing by increasing the fuel pressure to the injector rail? Thanks |
