Alright, so I figured out how to get the hood to latch without cutting the latch or the latch receiver. I figured out that the secondary latch which sticks up higher was hitting the hood when I would attempt to have it latch the primary receiver so I used my titanium drill bit and carved the hole by the latch more and voila! Well not totally. I also used my titanium step bit to drill out the holes on the latch receiver assembly so that I could bring the assembly up a little bit. The last thing that I did was adjust the bumpstops on the bumper cover by "screwing" them down a few turns. Once I did that it latched without a problem...no drilling out the receiver nor cutting the latch itself.
