My old echo still had the factory alignment, shocks, and rear brake shoes at 318,000 miles. I replaced front pads at around 240,000 miles.

No irregular tire wear, so why let a wrench monkey adjust something to get paid for doing an alignment.

I inspected the suspension routinely. Tie rods and ball joints were as tight as new all the way to the end.

It is downright amazing that a cheap car could be that good.
