Toad: I think that picture is misleading. I would bet the are the same as the Hella style.
2mtech: you really need to do some research on this. There are a lot of posts describing. The aftermarket kit can include a hatch pop and a key fob that will POP it. Iirc no Yaris in the states has factory trunk/hatch release from fob. Then again I have a sedan, so maybe you have a button on the hatch to press to open and you can lock/unlock from there with a key? All it is to make the hatch do what you want is one extra actuator and wiring. With mine, the trunk has to be a separate button or when I unlock, the trunk would POP too which wouldn't be cool.
