Anything forced induction will shorten your engin life ... It also depends on how much boost you running .

I have the blitz supercharger,full header back exhaust, CAI intake and also the AEM fic piggy back with a full tuning ... And I'm making about 125 whp and 128 torque.

If you're handy and even has a very minimal skill on working on cars, you should be able to install the supercharger yourself, but on turbo, you have to have a professionally tuned.

On my supercharger install, I let my local shop to do it for me and Also do the AEM fic , tuning and dynos.

So it's all up to you ... On supercharger is about $4k to begin with but minimal tuning or with turbo is about $1.5k to begin but more tuning needed .
