Returning to Toyota

At this point it seems best to accelerate normally (keeping up with traffic), keep shifting up early, and get into top gear as soon as possible. If I need to enter the interstate with a steep ramp I shift later (around 3k rpm) and get into 5th around 60-65 mph. Otherwise it takes a really long time to get up to speed.
My driveway is fairly steep and long enough to observe the Eco-gauge. I wondered if it was better to go up in second gear more slowly, or to go up a bit faster in third. So far it seems to be a bit better in third (around 1800 RPM). |
