The o-ring I replaced was the little one that fits on top of the fuel pump. I did not replace the large blue one at the top of the tank.

Small plastic sleeve on the fuel pump outlet? I didn't come across this...can you explain this further please?

I have a fuel sender that I will take apart and take some pictures of to show you what I am talking about.
