The biggest difference that comes into play between your time and mine is that our engines are different. I have the 1NZ, and even with a wheel/tire setup that is heavier than stock and an axleback I've been able to get a 10 second range 0-60 with everything stock otherwise. Sticky tires can take away performance of a car also. They have a higher rolling resistance, which basically means that you need more energy to move them than a tire with lower rolling resistance tires such as snow tires or energy conserving tires. With the 2SZ being limited on power already as is, sticky tires can negatively impact the performance. Honestly, just by adding an intake and exhaust isn't going to make any car much faster (there are exceptions). It will however make your car louder, and if that is what floats your boat then |
