Hood scoop question

Long time I haven’t posted, been working on a new shell, and I wanted your opinion regarding hood scoop designs. Would a reverse cowl design be better than an intake scoop design in your opinion?

I’m making a custom hood scoop from a Subaru legacy GT and my friend is trying to convince me that the reverse cowl design would be more efficient/practical than the the other way around

Here’s the reverse cowl design link and pictures of my hood right now.
