As long as I still see that kind of behavior I will *know* that gas is still pretty fucking cheap.
Oddly, we small car drivers see a better return the more gas goes up. The difference between 2 bucks a gallon and 3 bucks a gallon is 10 bucks per fill up for us. Where as, those poor suckers driving 20 gallon tanks are paying 20 bucks more.
Typically speaking, all cars are designed to go about 400 miles on a tank -- so they don't ever get anything for the money -- and every cent adds up quick the more gas you have to dump into the tank.

Oh and gas will get up to 4 bucks yet. Yea, we'll be paying about 40 bucks to fill up, but the avg car with a 25 gallon tank will be paying 100 bucks to fill up. That would be a 1/4 of my income to drive to work a week -- if you don't think that's much -- In the United States, that's 58 million people making less than 20,000 a year.
