afc only tunes af ratio. You need to tune VVT'I and timing as well ;)

the afc will only let you lean/rich the fuel mixture by adding/decreasing % values at 6 points on the rpm scale(i think it was 6 ) is the same thing as the simple emanage but the emanage with the support tool gives you a 16 x 16 grid for specific "tuning". i'm not sure what your friend did but for a n/a vehicle is kind of money wasted. i used the afc twice on civic turbo-homemade kits and it did what it was supposed to but never to the full extend of a true tuning device. the only way the afc will be of value is if the ecu runs really rich and you can then take some fuel away, then you will see an increase in power but not much really. good luck man! |
