Hi all. I'm planning to buy and mount a tachometer and water heat gauges on my Yaris 2007 Sedan. I've seen some loose wires and harnesses near the engin. These are unplugged . My yaris is number 2. It comes without RPM and Water heat Gauges. I bought it in Sultanate of Oman. My question is: does Yaris come with ready harnesses to plug and play my gauges? Otherwise, could you please show me how to mount them? What and where are the right wires located?
Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The driver's side one is under the driver's seat and then it goes under the center console directly to the SRS ECU. The passenger one is under the passenger seat and it goes to the Occupant Classification ECU and then that ECU communicates with the SRS ECU to relay the info.
What exactly are you looking to do with that wire?

So does that mean if I want to steal a yaris like they do it in the movies I need to cut the yellow, pink and black wires and tap the yellow leads against the pink and black?

Post some pictures of the connector for your headlight switch.

CTScott do you have a wiring diagram for the 3rd gen Yaris? In particular I'm interested in the body ECU and what wires go where.

Im planning to add a gauge 2 cable for my amp on my new car from the battery, however, I'm not sure where is the right place to do so. Do I have to drill the firewall?

There is no power feed inside the cabin that you can connect that large of a wire to. You can go through the large grommet that is behind the battery, rather than drilling the firewall.

Desperately looking for the 12v + reverse wire on the rear tail light
Looking to add power to an aftermarket backup camera. I've searched for over 3 hours for the location of this wire. Here's a picture of the connection for the left rear light assembly on my 2008 Yaris Sedan. Anyone know which wire?
The wires going into the rear lights are: purple, green, orange, white w/a black strip and light blue. Many many thanks! |

If nobody answers, you could get a test light and turn the key to accesories. With the hand brake up, you could just put it in reverse. Use a test light and back probe each wire. Record which ones have power. Then put it back into park and check again to see which one no longer has voltage. I can't look up the wire diagram right now while i am at work. CTScott would be the one to get the info to you the fastest.

I think I'm going to pick up a voltage detector from Lowes tonight. One more question: will I be able to tell which wire coming from the reverse light is positive (versus negative) simply using an analog voltage detector?

can you please tell me where to take off a 12 volt feed (when the high beam is activated) for my driving lights relay.
Little or no voltage or current required, just power ONLY when high beam is activated. Thanking you in advance. |

The headlights are earthed to turn on, with permanent 12v power. The simple way is to wire the relay coil across the 2 parallel contacts on the headlight socket.

People who can share wire schematic/diagram for master windows switch. Look to hookup original master switch to aftermarket power window kit want use original switch instead of one from kit to have auto option.
