if i change my oil does it void the warranty - Toyota Yaris Forums

From my understanding, at least in Michigan anyways, that by law the dealer or car company cannot force you to get oil changes from them unless they provide the oil filter for free...which no company or dealer here does. And although it's good to have the reciepts, log, etc, they have test strips or so that they use to see if the oil has been changed anyways. So it's not a big sweat if you didn't have the logs and all, they will test and know anyways. And if you did change the oil like your supposed to, then the test will be clean and they cannot argue it no matter how bad they wish.
