don't.

take the sleeve out, and use the OEM mounting holes. do it. you'll see how the holes line up with the OEM bracket.

You might be wondering, but if you use the OEM DIN mounts, you are not to use the plastic shroud that goes around the HU. which you probably would have to when using a metra kit.

I had a similar metal sleeve and it was a huge pain in the butt to find a way to securely mount it to the metra kit. Mine didn't even have half the tabs yours has in those pics. So only one side of the unit was fit snugly. I had to do some "custom" adjustments to the sleeve and kit to finally get it secure.

That got it sorted, thanks! Finally things look much, MUCH cleaner, though with the 10mm gaps on the sides obviously. Those'll be filled soonish.
