Is "full DIN" the same as single DIN?
i was looking at a pioneer head unit and the description says its a "full DIN" looks like a normal single DIN head unit except crutchfield.com says it wont fit my yaris even with an aftermarket headunit already installed. so is there 3 types of DIN single, double, and full?

full DIN is the same as 1 DIN same as single DIN!
Then there's double DIN. 1.5 DIN is common on some 90 American cars, IIRC. Before you buy a deck, make sure it will fit. Since you have the sedan, you may have the dreaded "integrated" stereo, which means you'll need extra stuff to put an aftermarket deck in. |
