I am no mechanics, but have you checked all the components? i mean.. air filter, spark plugs, o2 sensors, MAF?
What does it mean to run like a bag of spanners? Is it automatic or manual ? |

It's a manual - but even without driving it it runs lumpy, misfires and smokes (unburnt fuel) until it's warm. I'm 100% sure it's the coolant temp sensor - I just don't know where to find it - there's 2 sensors down the flywheel side of the head - one has 3 wires and one has 2. Don't know which one it is - if I know, I can unplug it and use a variable resistor to mimic the temp sensor - and then order one from the dealer for it. "Runs like a bag of spanners" means it's running like crap! |
