Hello, my name is S.R. and I'm a copycat.

I had this done a couple of weeks ago after hearing and driving LRR's car. I love the sound of it and it hasn't affected my mpg that much, however, it definitely encourages harder launches from red lights and heaven forbid I find an overpass to cruise under.

There's one minor detail that I hadn't thought of though and I found out about it yesterday afternoon when I painted the pipe with high heat black paint. The pipe is melting part of my back bumper. There's a half-circle just above the pipe that's melted off and dripped into a nice black blob on top of the exhaust pipe.

I'm not happy about that but I figure that I'll look for something to fix it with, maybe a piece of diamond plate or something cut to dress up the melted edge of the plastic. I'm not sure what I'll do yet but it needs to be fixed before it gets worse and with air temps aiming for 103* by the middle of the week it's bound to get worse.

1. how close is the pipe to the bumper?
2. does the pipe protrude past the bumper?
