You should never get under a car with just the roadside flat tire jacks, they are too unstable... you really need jack stands... I'm pretty sure you have to lift the car to put it on.. the weight of the car will not let you remove the bolt you need to remove to install it (I would imagine the shock might pop out and possibly hurt you)

yeah you're right. why use something that's meant to hold the vehicle up in the first place. especially two of said item.

^^ctrlaltdefeat - don't take it like I'm dogging you or anything, just my horrible brand of humor

in all honesty though if you have the money to, invest in a nice jack and stands like mentioned.

also the shock will not pop out unless you give it enough clearance, and it will not come flying out either, merely fall out as there is no force applied to it. although they are somewhat hard metal
