Yes, the vent will be functional, and placed as shown. I'm well aware of where the wires and battery are located on the Yaris.

I've never heard a Celica owner (which has a very similar vented hood configuration) complain about steam coming out, much less steam causing visibility issues.

I have a Seibon hood with a very large vent, and there are no issues with rain and steam, or electrical problems of any kind.

Motors get steam cleaned, right?
