Marty, in my case I'd have to drive for over a year to catch up with the new cluster.... so that's not happening.

Hm, I was under the impression from prior threads the gauge cluster would pull the mileage from the cars computer. Was I correct or is this because it's metric vs. standard?

No. It turns out that the odo data is only stored in the cluster. Also, the only switchable clusters for km vs miles is the JDM digital one (the Australian one can't, and I am not sure yet about the European digital ones).
