Thanks for the reponse. My Yaris is an automatic, if that makes a big difference.

i dont recall if that issue was ever resolved but it was said to remove the relay and bang it on something hard (or replace it) as something inside is sticking

on the other hand i am assuming u mean the starter motor continues to crank the engine even after the engine starts, like said above, the yaris has an "auto" start feature, all u have to do is move from the "on" position to "start" position with the key for a second and the starter will continue to crank untill the engine catches.[/QUO
