I have 43,000 miles on my Yaris and my tires still look almost brand new. I did rotate my tires before the beginning of summer as the fronts had a little wear on them. I thought about getting new tires but its just stupid to pay for new tires when the OEMs will last a good while.

Not sure why some are getting such poor performance from the OEM tires. I have the Bridgestone OEMs, maybe there are other providers to Toytoa.

Some of you guys drive with more PSI than the tire is rated for and that might cause premature wear.

Overinflation could be a cause, but I'm guessing 43000 on an 09 means mostly highway, which gets you the most miles out of your tires(no sharp turns).

True....I do mainly interstate driving....probably 70/30, but I also over inflate too.
