I wonder how long the unit will last without issue...my only concern being the sensor.

I wonder myself. I think it's not too bad as they'll refund you within 30 days if you aren't satisfied plus the unit comes with a standard 3yrs warranty.

A 3 year warranty is pretty good! You guys should in the harsher weather areas should be able to give it a run for it's money over three years...
