I guess depending on your tires, but 2500 seems a bit steep. Maybe canadian dollars are not worth as much, I have not checked the exchange rate lately. I would think 1000 american dollars should cover everything.

It is not uncommon for things to cost double in Canada than the US. Our dollar is like about $0.97 right now, but that isn't the issue.

The issue is that things just cost so much more in Canada. So US estimates are just that ... estimates that don't mean much up here in Canada. We are like on another planet when it comes to the price of things.

When I got tires for my Yaris .. they were just over $700. Very expensive compared to the price in the US.
