Since I got the alarm all set (at least the wires to the rear etc) I put the rear panels back in. I didn't take any photos, but I put several layers of medium and high density foam seals around the speakers so that when the panel was put in place, the air from the front of the speaker would not mix with the air from the rear of the speaker. They sound really great!
Road noise is decreased as well with the panels reinstalled. So even with the front door panels off still, the sound deadening on the rear sections, with the rear panels installed has made a noticeable difference in road noise. I'm almost definitely going to lay down a layer under the carpet if I can get the time to do so this summer. |
