Thanks Yarisugi. I saw there is roughly 20% difference in price between 2008, 2010 and 2012 used models (same specs and mileage). Last WE I have inspected a 2012 full optional that I liked but I didn`t place any offer due to few people saying it was better to stick to the older models due to quality issues with the new ones. Should I go with a 2009/2010 and save a bit of money?

The only new issue that I know of on some of the 2012-2014 versions was the chrome-plated garnish piece on the rear of car having an odd chemical reaction with the painted surface of hatch lid, causing some rust in that area around the garnish piece. Either way, any year Yaris is the most reliable subcompact in the world, overall. Reasonably take care of it, and it will take care of you. |
