Update, car would not start at McDonalds (but fuel gauge was working). Checked electrical connection and hoses. Won't be able to get to it until Monday morning due to fire department details earlier today and tomorrow. Bill C

Honestly mate - considering what a ball ache it is to do a fuel pump I would use a Denso pump to replace it with. That was probably the OEM fuel pump brand from the factory. If you put your VIN in on toyodiy dot com you can find the OEM part number and probably track down the Denso equivalent on a parts website somewhere. Yoyo part often cross references the OEM part number with the various different brand part numbers. It's what I would do. Your fuel pump was pretty old and with all the ethanol they put in the fuel these days they don't last like they might have in the 90's.

That amazon pump was probably some random Chinese one that probably won't be reliable or last very long.
