MR2 Spyder wheels on 08 Yaris question
I have done a lot of reading on here about this and have everything ready to start getting together and on just had one more thought. Havent tried yet but will the stock yaris lugs work with the spyder wheels or do I need a different set? Just curious before I even started swapping, that way I can just have everything ready to go and swap em.

Ok I'm assuming my wheels are off the 00 to 02 cause both are 15's. I knew the pattern was the same. Tires already on the wheels are 195/55r15. And will the stock lug nuts fit these wheels? Just seems like the stud holes in the Mr2 wheels are too big for the stock steel rim yaris lug nuts. But like I said, I haven't tried it yet, just curious if I will need new lug nuts. Also I'm guessing the 6.5 would be better on the front

Also, do ya think the 195/55r15 will do alright all the way around with no rubbing issues. I have a set of 185/60r15 as well that are on my steels.

here. I put the 6.5 width in the rear, for looks. To me it doesnt matter. my tires are the same width anyway. These are my winter tires, 195/55/15. I owned a spyder, so i kept the rims and lug nuts with me.

From what I have looked at the Mr2 lug nuts are the same basically as the yaris, at least according to autozone and oreilly. Am I wrong. All I need to know by this point is if my yaris lug nuts will work or if I need new ones. They are both 12x1.5 lug nuts I just didn't know if the Mr2 ones were special styles or just the regular acorn bulge style ones.

here's a toyota oe lug nut for the spyder 6" or 6.5" wheel... The 6" and the 6.5" wheel have different lug nut lengths.

Alright I guess I will have to talk to my dealer about it to see what I need. Or would I just be able to get some tuner lugs aftermarket that would work? I know I looked earlier and found some tuner lugs that were the same for the yaris and spyder. Hell I will get it figured out this week

i vaguely remembered putting the tuner lugs one a year or 2 ago. I think it didnt look like it secured the wheel very well. the oe toyota lug nuts sink into the wheel a bit up to the washer then tightens. with the tuner lugs i think there will be a large amount of play to the lugs, that the tuner lugs' conical wedge end screws in just enough to secure it.

here's a close up of rims with tuner lugs put in, and a pic of the spacing around the lug nut...for future reference.

So much fail, using a tuner lug where a shank lug is supposed to be used. Lol!

So much fail, necro a thread to make a fail comment on a photo which shows how a tuner lug would play out in this situation.
