CF Hydrodipped 1nz Valve Cover Group Buy
The first 5 folks that show the money can have one of these CF dipped covers for $150.00 + shipping and your old cover as a core within 30 days of delivery confirmation.
Due to the nature of how trust can be a big issue the cost up front would be $210 + shipping and then once your old cover arrives a refund will be provided for $60.00 for the Core. All transactions will be through Paypal as an actual sale to keep folks comfortable. You will also need to specify whether or not you wish to have the "hook" removed on the driver's side that would normally "wrap" around the fuel line if you are running an aftermarket fuel rail. Lastly there is no implied warranty on the item as due to this being an engine component that could be exposed to certain elements it is your responsibility to keep it in tip top shape. Thanks and lets get these beauties in production! ![]() 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) Shipping can be either UPS or Fedex. This is shipping to the Continental US. If you wish to purchase from I don't rightly trust USPS as far as I can throw one of their 18 wheelers. I just quoted for someone to California so this gives you a solid idea to go off of: ![]() International Shipping will need to be verified on a more individual basis. Please feel free to ask any questions. NOTE: OIL FILLER CAP NOT INCLUDED

What's the life expectancy of this coating on a hot valve cover? Any real world experience as far as length of time before they peel? Can you do a different 4 cyl vc for the same price? Do you prep the metal first? Bead blast? Pickle?

The process is very similar to painting a car. The item is blasted, thoroughly cleaned, painted, dipped, coated and cleared.
There are several instances out there of people using dipped valve covers. The heat is no different that a car sitting outside in the sun. The fabricator uses only top of the line products in the process. If you are interested in the quality of the work examples can be found at: JRT Customs on Facebook They have been in business performing custom work for well over a decade.

Prices could vary depending upon the item being dipped. It could be more or less. If you wish to have other items dipped then it would be best to PM me or use the contact information on JRT's Facebook page referenced above.
If you contact them directly make sure that you let them know TTR sent you so that they know which community you are coming from. This Group Buy is for CF however they offer several options.

There are plenty of folks out there that do shows and are concerned with that rather than just performance. I have received a LOT of positive feedback on how it looks on the motor and this is with dust on it: ![]()

That engine with the black intake looks damn sexy. Adding a coil pack cover plate would clean it up even more! And a billet oil cap in black

Thanks. We are working on a cover that will be billet for mine that will have Team Tiamat Racing etched on it. As for the oil cap I do have a billet one currently however it is on the motor that is in the car.

It appears that at this time there is no interest here. For those that took a look, thanks. I will request to have the thread closed.

Definitely looks cool, but would have to agree that the price is high for people's budgets especially for a cosmetic mod that will only be seen once in awhile with the hood opened. Thanks for the offer to the community though!

Being one of those members into the "show" world like you stated above, its absolutely something I am interested in but I dont know if I can drop 210 on any more parts right now lol. Also I have the same question as posted above. Usually CF does not last long in FL, it fades very quickly due to heat/sun exposure. Being under the hood the sun exposure would be decreased but the heat is probably increased. I am reluctant to spend that money on something that I could only enjoy for 1-2 years possibly.

I keep a spare valve cover(MI metal-type) for shows and use the DIY color match OEM cover for daily use. It's easier that way.

I would never spend that kind of money for that, but it does look pretty awesome!
