The thing about reproducing bass frequencies from speakers is cone area.
Two 8" drivers will have more cone area than one 10" driver (and could have more magnet structure, wider combine voicecoil, etc., so they can have deep bass response with better transient response. They can be built with push-pull or other designs to cancel distortion, also. |
