4 x 8" subs?

I like the idea of 4 x 8" subs, but maybe some of you audiophiles can discuss if this would sound good (with proper amplification of course) as opposed to dual 10" subs in a Yaris liftback. Feedback (the good kind) appreciated.

my opinion u can do whatever the fook u like....

but in the sub world...i have noticed "the bigger the better" since obviously the bigger the sub, the more deep hard bass you will get. (depends on the sub and amp)

4 x 8inch subs...i really havnt seen that setup...so you should try it!!

ok, I probably will, I have a guy who will make me a custom enclosure to fit the back for subs and amps.

The thing about reproducing bass frequencies from speakers is cone area.

Two 8" drivers will have more cone area than one 10" driver (and could have more magnet structure, wider combine voicecoil, etc., so they can have deep bass response with better transient response. They can be built with push-pull or other designs to cancel distortion, also.
