i think chikoree was used as a coffee replacement during ww2 when real coffee was hard to come by.
there's a reason why people switched back to real coffee afterwards. :) |

WRONG! I may put up with crap coffee when I have to, but at home I use only the best fresh beans and am willing to pay top dollar for kona or blue mountain! I like to use a french press also. No cream, no sugar.

It's sucks too because I am a pretty damn good cook, used to I make enough for leftovers for lunch every day, but lately have been too lazy... |

Get one! The difference is dramatic, not kidding. It's better than a drip coffee maker which traps the coffee's oils in the filter, and a percolator can overheat it and make it bitter. With a french press all the oils end up in your cup, and no bitterness, just the best tasting coffee you ever put in your mouth! Plus, it only takes about 5 minutes to make.
Sorry, stuffy, I have not yet acknowledged your genius discovery...very clever! |

i've got a bodum single cupper and a starbuck's 4 cupper, both are great.
i've had the bodum for years and it still works great, i think a little more coffee grinds are sneaking their way in, but that's no big deal. |
