205-55-15's can cost up to 20% more than 205-50-15's. also, fewer brands offer 205-55-15.

That's true.

But, if you don't drop your car, then don't install 205/50's on aftermarket rims; they will look positively teeny!

ya, i'm just letting him know that it's gonna be a little more for a set of 55's and he might not find the brand he wants.
