if you want it low, just cut a coil or two off the df's or teins or whatever. the ride will be bouncy and your shocks will die really quickly but you can put your car on the ground if that's what you're after.

cut coils do not make you car bouncy, and they do not kill your struts any faster... that is just being dumb.... that is like saying lowering your car is going to kill your struts and make your car bouncy....

lowering your call WILL kill your struts faster than if you didnt lower them.

obviously you haven't done this before. or maybe you are talking about aftermarket shocks. with oem shocks, first your seals die and leak oil and then you bounce around town. or, if you cut enough coils off and end up sitting on your bumpstops, then when you hit a bump at speed you have no down travel on the shocks which will also make the ride feel "bouncy". he'd be safe with cutting a coil or two, but if he starts bottoming out then the shocks will go soon after. the end.
