A colleague of mine told me today he's going on vacation in the US.

He told me the gas prizes and he laught about it, he is going to rent a car.

He told me that the gas prize was around 0.45 € / L

Here it's 1,50 € / L, very high taxes, very high prized cars, high insurance rates etc.

That's insanely cheap for europe. I lived there for a couple years not too long ago and gas prices were over 1.10 euro per liter. That's over $7 a gallon.
